  1. I was quite interested to read your acritle and the comments from your readers. I came across this acritle through a friend’s link. I’m not a troll- I read this with an open mind and two distinct thoughts came to me.Firstly, I live in the UK and as such abortion is available on the NHS. Sometimes there are private clinics that are contracted by the NHS, but mostly the people performing abortions are the same obstetricians, gynaecologists, nurse-practitioners etc that are in the hospital when you come to have a baby. People that perform and arrange abortions are generally government employees. I think in the UK if someone desperately wanted to get out of performing abortions that a trained medical professional would not really have an issue getting another job. There are also employment agencies- people really would not need the help of pro life activists. There was recently a case in the NHS where a consultant (senior doctor) lost his job because he emailed people bible quotes and told people he was praying for them. In the UK it’s quite offensive to minister to people uninvited, and you would probably get more people avoid you and the NHS legal dept would probably get non-molestation orders/restraining orders and remove you from hospital grounds.Secondly, what is your goal? To close abortion clinics and stop all abortions? To re-employ all the doctors and nurses in delivering all these unwanted babies? At what level? From other acritles I have read there are already lots of medical professionals in the US who should be trained in abortion skills but who opt out at medical school. The same doctors who perform abortions here also use the same techniques in the case of miscarriages (removing the dead foetus medically can prevent psychological trauma and potential infections). What about medically necessary abortions, like ectopic pregnancies, or other conditions where the mother’s life is seriously in danger? Surely the skills and facilities used for these procedures would not exist in isolation? And here is the reason why I support the right of women to legally seek an abortion: when I was 23 my roommate had an abortion. The reason she got pregnant? Her boyfriend was abusive. He made her do some horrible, demeaning things, but this was like psychological warfare. When she told him she was pregnant he laughed at her then sodomised her. The change I saw in her after this was horrifying. I genuinely think that if she had had to carry her baby to full term she would have killed herself. So which mortal sin would have been worse? An abortion of a pregnancy at 8 weeks that 4 people know about? Or a young woman killing herself and her unborn child, leaving behind parents and a whole family and friend circle that love her, plus there would have had to be a post mortem and an inquest, which would say she killed herself because she was pregnant. I know which I supported. I am pro life- I am pro my friend’s life, and the thousands of women like her.I wish abortion wasn’t necessary, but sometimes it is, and I pray for the men and women who perform these procedures- sometimes against their own beliefs- but in the best interest of their patient.

  2. about how you must have a purpose for linivg if you are in a situation like that. Of course, that could be said about many other situations which do not involve being in prison. Without any type of purpose whatsoever, some people will resort to suicide, as sad as that may be. His emphasized how the purpose must be attainable. Which makes sense, as most of the things he listed seemed attainable, yet challenging at the same time, which certainly can make life worth linivg if you set goals like that. I can tell by reading this that this person is clearly frustrated yet doing everything he can to get through his life and trying to stay positive, which is good. However the end of the piece turns into a much darker tone, he seems to be very worried about having no hope or purpose left and what could happen to him. Possibly implying that he may become suicidal, which is certainly terrible to think of. I couldn t say if I would have the same thoughts or not since I have never been in prison and do not truly know what is like. However, I can certainly imagine that frustration that comes with knowing the rest of your life will be spent there. It seems that the key for this inmate, and probably most others, is continually maintaining a purpose throughout your life so darker thoughts do not occur as much. One purpose that he mentioned which he could continue throughout his life is helping out other inmates and making sure they do not get in trouble. There will probably always be some young inmates coming in so this is something that can hopefully keep this person going in a positive direction. It is kind of a scary ending to this piece when he say she doesn t know what he will do it all hope disappears. Although I could certainly understand why he would be thinking that although thinking positively is probably very important and he will probably need to try his best to do this throughout his life. I know I try my best to do that in my life and it helps me enjoy life better.

  3. After reading the easy Who am I? from a lifer long in posirn, it seems simple for me to spy into their definition of the personal race in his deep heart. It shocks me a lot for a lifer who has spent a long-period of life in posirn to be pretty confident to confirm who he is. With a glory self-value and a strong self-assertiveness, the lifer has become more and more fortitude in mind and stably specific in self-cognition. As far as I concerned, it s blurry and complicated for normal people living regular lives in society to show own affirmation with positive attitudes towards inside weak fears, delicate disappointments and selfish desires which are deeply hidden inside hearts. However, the lifer, in this essay, indeed emphasize a lot with straightforwards force that he is in brown skin and originally American born with a certain race; he has a kind heart which is fully-filled with tremendous soft sympathy and moisture compassion; he is strong minded because he has switched his passions derived from forever-lasting life in jail to an enjoyment of learning and practicing to be a real man in the world in such a tough and educational circumstance; he even sustains that he has a normal heart or even more humanized than common people who have never engaged in posirn; he absolutely has diverse emotions and souls with sensitive inflection which are constituted of craving dreams, hardfisted ambitions, unexpected fears, brave joys, remarkable accomplishments and destructive defeats. As we can obviously see, the lifer is totally both a son-of-man and a man-of-the-world with an perfectly integrated and extremely authentic personality which turns out to be a distinct combination of shortages and superiorities. What s more, the lifer even has admitted himself as not just the person in the above description- these particularly appropriate self-realizations are far insufficient to convey the whole being of himself. Apparently, own to some mysterious cases happening in his early age, he has committed himself as a man of all over the world- he could be a man brought up in Spic, Wetback, Beanery, Guala-guala or even New Yorican, though he has never been to these places in reality. With a certificate bore in America, he can not deny he has a special role in social performance and a specific division to working specialization. It is generally accepted that individuals do have fixed appearance to join the world with a widely spread-out phenomenon and none of us has innocent abilities to distort what we are actually in order to meet personal desires or requirements. Nevertheless, the lifer here powerfully demonstrate that we can be different races in different moments which is just based on the society s acquaintances. In other word, all the strict and serious limitations and bounds formerly established inside people s conceptions are really of no necessity for the reason that these kinds of statements are constructed on the foundation of the perspectives of humanity but not the sociology. According to how the lifer is further socialized in the posirn, he has reset his own perceptions towards the whole world and human beings and compromised to the immense space of the actually small 4-walls room with dark color and gloomy atmosphere. It is the posirn that has transformed his mind to acknowledge himself as a spic in the bright legacy which is uniquely far away from what he previously consider himself as agrrieved, sinless and should not have been takin into a jail. As a result, the posirn really has an outstanding capacity to reform the roots of lifers ideas which appears to be a large amount of benefits for lifers to regain kind-hearts.

  4. Derek, although that might work, I’m not inrseetted to try that because as far as I’m concerned, sites should work with browsers without having to fake user agent strings. If they don’t, that’s a bug for the site administrator to fix, not the end user.gjph, looks like the bug has been opened in April. Personally I find it highly surprising that Microsoft haven’t worked out a solution in the last couple of months for this highly visible bug resulting in widespread poor user experience. It’s not as if the Firefox 3.0 betas have not been available for testing.
